The Bridal era has officially entered the chat.

Hi everyone! As some of you might know, I got engaged last summer! I wondered whether the wedding things could be interesting for you, but this blog was born to share my life with you. And wedding preparation is a big part of my daily activities. So, why not talk about it and share everything I'm learning during the process?

So, my bridal era officially entered the chat during Christmas time when we booked the location. That moment was cathartic because I realized that the wedding was happening for real! I was saving pictures and ideas way before Christmas, but the site made everything so real that I had to decide what I wanted, the vibe, and start to go for it.

This is the perfect opportunity to share an update on the wedding process and how I'm living my bridal era.

Wedding vision board and general vibe

As you know, I love Pinterest. So, I immediately created a wedding board on my profile to save many ideas and create my vision board for the wedding. I love my wedding board because the general mood for the wedding has come through the pictures naturally. Hence, everything was under my eyes, and I needed to make it real.

I'm embracing that I have an ancient soul. I love enhancing the romanticism and the subtle elegance that carries everyone in a dreamy situation. My fiancé and I are so happy to tailor every aspect of the wedding around our love story and lifestyle. That's why it's so easy to pick a mood and state it at different moments of the event.

We love flowers, escapism, and celebrating our love with the closest people. I can't wait for that day!

How I'm living my bridal era

Plan for a wedding can be a dream. But there are many moments of stress, especially if you're organizing it while you have a full-time job, you need to take care of the house, and many other things. So, I'm living through lots of highs and lows, especially when I need to schedule appointments in my cluttered agenda. But, other than that, I've always dreamt of my wedding, so now that it's happening excites me so much.

Excitement is the thing that gets me through the rough moments when I feel overwhelmed. When we started planning our wedding, I was looking for tips and tricks on the internet to see how we could overcome the lows. I'm so afraid that everyone shows off the dreamy part of the wedding planning process without mentioning the hard times. I decided to hit the publish button on this post because it's normal to feel overwhelmed, experience stress, and live with contrasting feelings when planning the best day of your life. That doesn't mean you don't want to marry the love of your life. Everything is normal because you need a tighter support system. Your bridal era brings big emotions, excitement, and expectations. Dealing with these elements can be challenging, so your brain and body can react differently. For example, I feel extremely overwhelmed. So, I make lists and escape with vision boards and fantasy. I tend to run away when I feel too stressed.

You need those escaping moments, take them and protect them. Then, surround yourself with a robust support system because you'll need to ask for advice or second opinions.

My tips and tricks to live your best bridal era

I'm just starting my bridal era, but I've learned much during this little time. So, I am ending this post with tips and tricks to live your best bridal era.

  • Share everything with your fiancé. Every appointment, decision, and vision board is better if you're together. Doing this makes everything easier not only because you're not feeling alone but also because if you meet the suppliers together, they can understand the couple's harmony and empathize with you more easily.

  • A wedding planner is your best friend. A kind lady is helping us, and it's the best decision we've ever made. She's guiding us through the process, deadlines, and priorities and is a pro at finding the best suppliers. We never thought we needed to begin with the flowers!

  • Start in advance! We started 15 months before the wedding date. It seems a lot, but it helps you take one thing at a time. Let other people talk, and take all the time you need to check the things off your list. For example, I cope better if I have time to do my things calmly and with serenity. I started slowly to dedicate the proper attention to each decision.
