How to dress up on a budget

Hello everyone! The last post on the blog was last Monday. We skipped the lifestyle-themed post last week because I struggled a lot to write that post. But after a wholesome weekend with my dad, I completed the blog post and scheduled it for Thursday.

This week is the official Black Friday, and my inbox is full of newsletters, discounts, and offers. But this year, I'm not into that compulsive shopping with Black Friday. Instead, I'm more aware of what I'm buying and trying to save all the money I can for other experiences, like travel, investing in the blog, new skills, and books. Of course, I still love fashion, luxury, and accessories, but my priorities have shifted toward a more conscious shopping approach.

So today, I'm here to tell you that you can dress up on a budget for your winter holidays without that crazy shopping. Instead, let's see how you can do it together.

Something you already have

The first place you can go shopping is your closet. Set a fresh mindset without prejudices, and look at your clothes with a new perspective. You'll find at least a new way to wear each piece of clothing you already have.

In case you miss something, update your shopping list.

Another great way to refresh your closet is to pick one item at a time and search for new outfit ideas. I usually share multiple ways to style a garment, so you can check it out here or on Pinterest.

Invest in great accessories

Even if you love repeating the outfits, and I'm a fangirl of it, you can refresh them by changing the accessories. Jewelry, bags, socks, shoes, hats, scarves, hair accessories, or gloves are your best friends. Also, they usually cost less than clothing. So if you want excellent quality for your jewels but have a tight budget, go shopping in your family closet. You'll be surprised to find pure vintage gems to bring back to life.

Think out of the box

No glitter or feathers during the day because they are only for a special night. No blue or brown with black because they are awful together. There are so many rules! But you can experiment, play around with clothes, and have fun. Pick one to three items and find new ways to style them, think out of the box, and forget everything people tell us.

Wear what makes you feel the best version of yourself

Do you love how that knitwear looks with your sequin skirt? Go for it!

Do you love yourself when you wear an oversized blazer with tailored pants and loafers? Wear them!

Do you feel amazing in your sleep dress and a chunky coatigan? Amazing! Make the world your runway!

Look inside yourself and understand what makes you feel butterflies, unique, and the best version of yourself. Fashion is about finding a way to express yourself through clothes. So, throw away everything, and experiment with trends, classics, basics, and fun pieces. Find your way, and thrive!
