How to do your manicure on a budget at home

Happy Monday, everyone! This week has started on the perfect foot for me. I went for a run, I felt energized, and the Christmas decoration process started. How amazing is that? The festive mood is doing its magic on my mood, and I'm so grateful for that.

And since the holiday season is around the corner and we want to feel exceptionally well, I'm here for you to spill the tea about how to do your manicure on a budget at home.

I started doing my nails at home when the pandemic began, and I have never stopped. I used to go to the salon for gel nail polish every two weeks, but when the pandemic started, I had to fix my nails. So, I created the perfect starter kit for your manicure on a budget at home. Even the initial investment is affordable, so stay with me. Thanks to this starter kit, I saved the money I would spend on the salon. I can dedicate an hour to watching a movie at home and experimenting with different colors. I love testing new nail polish shades; if I don't like them, I can remove them and re-do them whenever possible.

But let's talk about the fun part, the starter kit.

The perfect starter kit to do your manicure on a budget at home

Firstly, I need a multifunctional mill to remove the color, even out my nails, and shape them. So, I bought a practical mill on Amazon. Unfortunately, mine sold out, but I'm linking a similar one for you. I love it because it's pink, small, and portable. So, I can do my manicure wherever and whenever I prefer, even traveling. Also, this kit has every tool you'll need to get your nails ready for a new color.

After removing the color and shaping the nails, you want to apply a base coat, color, and a top coat. So when I needed to buy semipermanent nail polishes, I was looking for something small, easy to store, and with fun colors to play with. So, I bought this set in bright and summery colors. The quality and ease of applying it are impressive. I played a lot with this set during spring and summer. I love pastel shades with a subtle tan.

When the cold arrived, I was on the market for updated colors that could be useful even during the holidays. So, I tested this extensive set with 18 colors, 1 base coat, and 2 top coats. The quality is good as the previous set, and the price point of both sets is super affordable. Also, this set has glittery shades that will work perfectly during the festive season.

Lastly, I bought the LED lamp for the semipermanent nail polish. Again, I needed something small and easy to store in my tiny bathroom. Once again, Amazon has the perfect one that works magic. It's big like a PC mouse, and works with a USB cable, only 7,99 €.

The initial investment was 87,96 €, including the two nail polish sets.

Some inspo to do your manicure on a budget at home

I love simple manicures, partly because I can't do nail art but also because I love a great nail polish color applied evenly. So, if you want to start doing your manicure on a budget at home with this ultimate starter kit, here are some inspirations for this season.
