Content Creation 101: how to start on a budget

Hi everyone! Here we are with our second appointment with Content Creation 101 series! I know this is the second Tuesday of the month, but I had personal stuff to handle last week, and all of my energy went there.

Today I want to share the basics of content creation, how to start on a budget, and talk about some thoughts I have every time I want to create content.

When I decided to bet on myself and start creating content here on the blog, for Instagram, and on Pinterest, I had so much confusion in my head. I felt overwhelmed and a little scared of other people's thoughts. I care so much about Branding with Martina, the Content Creation 101 series, and sharing easy ways to find joy and happiness in whatever you love.

When I started creating content, I didn't have any tools but didn't want to spend a fortune. So, like a starter pack, I made a list of what you'll need to start creating content on a budget.

Content Creation 101: starter pack

First and foremost, you'll need something to take photos and videos. Your smartphone is excellent. I use only my iPhone and sometimes some cameras from my collection. I recently started to take analogic images, like when I was a kid, and it's a speechless emotion.

Then, you'll need support. If you want to shoot by yourself, I suggest you buy a tripod. I found this one on Amazon, and it's great. So easy to pack and carry around, lightweight, and great to support your smartphone and cameras.

To edit all of your photos, the best app I know is Lightroom. I love it because it's easy to learn but also free for the most part. But, of course, you can buy the pro version to access pro functions. So for your videos, instead, I use CapCut, a free app with fantastic editing functions and so easy to use.

Lastly, suppose you want to learn new skills or know more about social media and content marketing. In that case, you can check Branding with Martina, where I collect the best free courses and certifications.

Content Creation 101: how to stop caring about other people's thoughts

If you feel that other people's thoughts are conditioning your life or dreams, you're not alone. It's more common than you think. So, what can we do to stop caring about it? If creating content or opening a blog makes your heart happy, you can start taking care of it as if it were your best friend and treat it like the most precious thing in the world. Other people are not significant.

I offer you an alternative if this mindset doesn't persuade you. We are over 7 billion people worldwide; how can your love for content creation affect so many people's lives? You are making something for yourself, and that's the most important and fulfilling thing in the world. So, chase your dreams, think big, love yourself, and everything will improve.
