What's in my cart for spring 2022

Hi everyone! Recently I talked about my manifestation list for shopping I did for the colder months. So, I thought to make the spring/summer list here with you today since the new season is just around the corner.

During these months, I did a massive decluttering of my closet because most of the clothes didn't fit me anymore and didn't represent me anymore. So, I'm navigating with a smaller selection. For the fall/winter, I didn't feel the need to buy impulsively because my "capsule" closet was enough for the lifestyle I had. I was home most of the time, so knitwear and a pair of trousers were perfect for spending the day. But now, days are longer and warmer; I feel so much better, and I'm planning lots of outside activity. So, it's time to look for some basics and staples to spice up my mini closet selection. Even though I haven't done the seasonal change of clothes, I'm sure I'll need another pair of denim, a swimsuit, a lightweight and oversized blazer, T-shirts and tank tops, a maxi floral dress with long sleeves, and some accessories.

Ok, let's go through them!

Tops

When I decluttered, I noticed that my closet lacked basics. I swear that I don't have a white T-shirt or a well-fitted tank top. I know it's nuts, but I'm going to put remedy straight away! I'm sure that I want a masculine fit for the T-shirt because I can't be myself with those feminine slim-fitted tops. So my eyes are on the Boyfriend collection from Skims and the man basics at Uniqlo. I'm trying to find a compromise between quality and budget, so we shall see what I'll end up with.

Denim

After I bought my dream pair of jeans at Mango, I started looking for another one because I'm determined to build a great edit of denim in my closet. Jeans make me feel relaxed and confident, and they are so easy to style! So, in the next few days, I'm going to try some fits from Levi's to see if there's one that I like. But I have on my list to buy a great pair of vintage denim because the fabric is so different and fits perfectly. This way, I will buy a great quality piece of clothing without breaking my bank account and damaging the environment. It's a win-win for everyone! I love vintage shopping!

Swimwear

At the moment, I have a 437 bikini and a swimsuit from H&M. I love the 437 bikinis, but you already know! They are so flattering and comfortable that my mind blows away every time I wear them!

The swimsuit from H&M is so cute because it has a sunset palette of colors, and I can wear it at the beach or as a top.

For this year, I'm on the market for a new swimsuit. I just fell in love with the new Matinee collection, and I'm thinking of buying one or two of them!

I've always been so skeptical about swimsuits because I couldn't tan properly, but they are easier to wear around the beach, and I don't feel uncomfortable with my body. So, for now, I will treat myself to a swimsuit to wear in different ways.

Blazer

I'm on the hunt for a good oversized blazer forever. I just returned a vintage one because it didn't fit me properly. I want to build an edit of great blazers in my closet because, like the denim, they elevate the outfit, are versatile, and are perfect for all the seasons.

Dress

Ok, we are at the hottest point! Unfortunately, dresses and skirts are my weakest pieces to shop for. I struggle to find a dress or a skirt that makes me feel self-confident. Recently, I fell in love with the ethereal and cottage-core style for dresses. They have ankle-length, maxi, and fluid skirts, well-fitted tops. I need a dress to be fluid on my body but a more fitted style on my bust to balance my body shape. So, my biggest inspiration for the dream dress is Lydia Elise Millen. I can't cope with this beauty. I found many great options in the high-end and luxury market, but I can't find an affordable option. So, I'm thinking of sewing one once I complete my sewing course. Even if I'm pretty basic and straightforward with the previous pieces of clothing, I want to shop for romantic and dramatic dresses. I'm over the simple designs and plain fabrics. I'm moving into the romantic, floral, ethereal phase of my life when it comes to dresses.

Accessories

This year I want to have fun with accessories. I've noticed that I have just a few fun and colored bags. So, it's the perfect time to look for cute, fun mini bags for the spring: of course, pastels colors are a must-have, but I'm thinking of white and bright colors as well. What do you think?

Also, hair accessories are blowing my mind! Floral clips, bows, mini clips, big scrunchies. I love spring and summer, but I can't live without my hair up when the temperatures are too hot. So, it's the perfect time to experiment with fun and romantic accessories.
