What to do in Vienna with your BFF

Hi everyone! I'm officially back from my long weekend with BFF in Vienna!

I'm feeling a mix of emotions right now because I’m happy to have seen her after three years apart and sad. After all, these days are over, and we don't know when we'll be able to see each other again. This past long weekend went better than any of my expectations, and I'm here to give you some tips in case you're planning a girls’ trip to Vienna soon.

Where to shop in Vienna

Let's start with the good stuff, shopping! I was in awe of all the beautiful places and things to shop in Vienna. Thrift shopping and local markets are immaculate, and you can find some rare gems! I bought my loved and favorite denim jacket by Wrangler and a striped button-down from Ralph Lauren at Vintage Fabrik. But I was traveling with a small backpack, so I had to have limits with shopping. But, trust me, I would have bought most of the things I saw!

Favorite places to shop

Vintage Fabrik, Mariahilfer Str. 22

Neubaugasse

Kirchengasse

Lindegasse

La Maison d’Elisa, Siebensterngasse 23

Where to drink in Vienna

So, I don't drink coffee. When I'm home, I drink my ginseng. But in Vienna, I had an iced chai latte as my energizer drink after lunch, and it worked pretty well. It's a bit overpriced, but I treated myself. The absolute best I had was from the cutest cafe I've ever seen. So worth the price!

Favorite cafe

Adlerhof - Café, Bistro & Bar, Burggasse 51 (best chai latte)

Ramasuri, Praterstraße 19 (best cocktail)

Where to eat in Vienna

I also loved Vienna because you can eat delicious food for just a little money. We treated ourselves, with wine, yummy food, and all the desserts. So here are some of my favorite places

Hungry Guy, Rabensteig 1

Le Bol, Neuer Markt 14 (French bakery)

Burg.ring1, Burgring 1 (typical food)

K.u.K. Café-Konditorei L. Heiner, Kärntner Str. 21-23 (best Sacher torte)

What to see in Vienna

The first piece of advice I can give you is to book a city sightseeing ticket and have a beautiful panoramic tour with your BFF. We booked ours during our last day, but it was sooo good!

The second one is to walk a lot but pick a neighborhood and have a nice stroll there during the day.

Some of must-see locations are Belvedere, Hofburg Castle with Sissi Museum, Stephen Cathedral, and Schönbrunn castle. They are breathtaking!

I think Vienna is perfect for a long weekend because it's perfect for walking, has lovely cafes, you can enjoy shopping but also see art, and book cultural activities. If you don't love museums, you can appreciate the stunning beauty of Vienna just with a stroll. The buildings, the streets, and the vibes are so elegant, chill, and dreamy. Speaking of the city, we found incredible weather, with sunny and warm days, just one rain during the last evening but I can't complain!
