What I'd wear if I lived in NYC

Hi everyone! As I promised in last Monday's post, we're discussing what I'd wear if I lived in NYC.

I've dreamed of my life in New York City so often that I can smell it. So, let's see what I'd wear in a unique city. I've been to New York only once, back in 2018, but it stole my heart. I look at the photos a million times because I miss NYC so much! It's the first place where I felt I could be whoever I wanted, do whatever I wished, and make my dreams come true. New York and I have a neverending love story, so let me tell you from the beginning.

In my imagination, I would live in a beautiful apartment near Central Park. My dream one would be Blair Woldorf's penthouse. I would work in fashion doing something social, so my agenda would be full of events to attend. My closet would be a rainbow of style because NYC lets me be whoever I want whenever I want. So, one day I would dress as a businesswoman, then like a feather princess or effortless chic to go to my favorite bookshop. I would also play with colors and fabrics because most pieces would be thrifted. In fact, when I'm not at work, you can find me on a thrift shop tour around the city to discover vintage gems.

Of course, once I moved to NYC, I lived my personal Sex and the City era and my Gossip Girl era, which is why I bought my Blair's style apartment. It was a fun period because I could play dress up to explore my new city. My agenda was full because my FOMO didn't let me rest for a minute. But after this era, I found my rhythm and favorite places and decided not to have a specific style. NYC doesn't have labels; you can't define it with one word. So, I want to be like my city, a fluid and evolving human being who has fun in a city while building her dream life.

Let's see my favorite pieces from my New York closet. My shoe collection is my proud moment. I've managed to collect so many gems throughout the months. Some are thrifted, and others are brand new and represent the milestones I've achieved. Speaking of milestones, did I show you the most unusual Chanel bag? I just got it, and I love her so much. It's perfect for elevating a simple look. One of my favorite pieces it's this pink bow top that makes me feel like a modern princess. I would wear it every single day. Lastly, this leather gilet was controversial in my closet until I styled it over a blazer. It was love at first sight.

As you can see, New York City brings my most brave personality out. I would love to be this girl in every corner of the world. But something in my gut tells me this girl is closer than I think. I can't wait to meet this personality and embrace it.
