Updated Fall Activities to do as a couple
Hi everyone! I wanted to update last year's post about fall activities to do as a couple for multiple reasons. Firstly, I feel like a different person because I'm fully recovered, and my depression is far from me. I'm still going to therapy, but it's a new life. Second, my renewed body condition lets me do more things, even if they are more active. Last but not least, I'm always in the market for something new to do, so it's the perfect occasion for me to share new activities with you.
For more chilled activities, please refer to last year's post.
Go for a run
The first signal that I'm a new person is that I started running! I was afraid to do it because I gained weight, and I'm not a runner. But I wanted to challenge myself, and I started going for a run with my boyfriend quite regularly, one or two times per week.
After multiple attempts, I can confirm that I love it. I prefer if my boyfriend comes with me because we can share quality time, motivate, and celebrate our achievements.
Host a dinner party
Since we moved into our actual apartment, we can host dinner parties and cocktails and have friends over. I collected many decorations for the table. My boyfriend and I usually have much fun planning the menu and the tablescape and treating our friends to a great dinner party.
That's something special about having people over for a dinner party, curating the tablescape with a unique tablecloth and some candles, and eating great food you cooked with your loved ones.
You don't need too much. Use your usual plates, and play around with napkins, tablecloths, coasters, and candles. Your main goal should be to make your friends feel special and at home.
Try a new local cafè for breakfast.
What's better than upgrading your routine with a special breakfast in a new local cafè? For my boyfriend's birthday, he planned a taste test in a French bakery in Milan. So we dressed up and went on this adventure. It was so romantic, super yummy, and so fun!
Reserve a spa access
Another great option, especially for a rainy day, is reserving spa access for you two. It's a great option to spend a couple of hours in a relaxing bubble, just the two of you.
Plan a movie date
One of my favorite way to spend a cozy evening at home is planning a movie date. The ingredients are simple: order two pizzas or burgers with fries or your favorite comfort food, arrange your living room to have dinner here but also cuddle up in soft and warm blankets, soft lights, and play an engaging movie. Usually, I save some inspo in my Netflix list to always have options.
I play pretty simply with these dates because I want to be comfortable. The main goal is to feel all the fall coziness.
Go to a concert
My new life has made me appreciate going to a concert. I used to hate it, but recently I started enjoying it more. I went to Marco Mengoni's show with my mum, which is a core memory I treasure. We enjoyed it so much that we had already bought tickets for another concert in July.
As you might have noticed, my main goal has shifted to make quality time with my loved ones extra special. Making core memories with my friends, family, and boyfriend has become a priority in my life, and I'm doing my best to accomplish this goal. I used to think I'd need so much money to do it, but then I realized that the main character of the moment is not what you have but who is with you.
