Sleep care is the new self-care

This past year we all went through a rollercoaster of emotions, and we all learned how to take more care of ourselves. Sometimes it's a warm bath, or a shopping session, or a facial. I love all the self-care-related things because they give me some time off from the world. It's like push the pause button and be present. Is there anything better?

When I feel stressed, anxious, or not in a good place, I struggle with my sleep. It's the first thing that is affected. I started listening to my body and mind carefully, finding the best combination for my sleep care. 

After some attempts, I think I managed the best combination of actions to have the best sleep even in the hard times.

My sleep care routine is based on finding calm and peace after a hectic day.

My sleep care routine is based on finding calm and peace after a hectic day. So, after dinner, I like to do my skincare, brush my teeth, and put on a comfy PJ. Then, I usually go to my living space, light up a scented candle, and relax watching a movie or a TV show. Finally, when I go to bed, I take my melatonin drops and read a book before falling asleep.

My sleep care has improved thanks to the melatonin drops. Melatonin is a natural hormone that helps us regulate our sleep cycle. When we are stressed or struggle to fall asleep, our body suffers because the sleep cycle is altered. So, melatonin drops help our body with relaxation, and we naturally fall asleep quickly.
