POV: you completely changed your life, and you need to start all over

Hi everyone! Since February is here, I'm approaching some of the most significant changes in my life. While writing this blog post, I'm planning my move from Milan to a small town and counting down the days to the wedding.

2024 is the year of the most significant changes, so it's the perfect opportunity for one of our POVs. I'm speechless, thrilled, and terrified simultaneously. However, it's still the best thing I've ever done after moving to Milan when I was 18.

So, I love sharing how I'm completely changing my life and must start all over.

I've been in this position since I was 18, but now that I'm 30, it's another story. First, because now I'm with my husband-to-be and not alone, I'm moving to build an adult life, not a student life. It may seem like a similar path, but it's completely different. This time, we bought our first home, and we're relocating to build the life of our dreams. When I moved to Milan in 2012, I had not decided what I wanted from life apart from a university degree. Now, we know exactly what we want and are figuring out how to make our dreams come true.

That being said, I'm the right person for you if you're thinking to change completely your life and start all over again.

First, there is always time. Don't wait for January or Monday to start. Just move your steps towards the life you want.

Then, I'm the person who will say to you to plan and think about this decision carefully. You won't find the impulse "leave everything and start again" philosophy here.

How to change your life completely

When feeling stuck, your body and soul search for something to better your life. Trust and follow your gut; you'll find something to make you feel better daily. Time after time, you'll understand what you need to change your life and, instinctively, start planning your next move.

It may be a new career path or style, but this change will make you feel alive, enthusiastic, and complete.

Even if you sometimes dream about leaving everything behind and starting over again, take your time to understand what you want and how to achieve it.

In my case, I wanted to move from my current apartment for a while. But I used this experience to understand what type of house I wanted, what life I wanted to live, and what emotions I wanted to feel for the next chapter of my life. So, when we found our dream home, it was a no-brainer for us.

You need to start all over.

When living this kind of change in your life, you need to embrace the uncertainty and instability of this time and go with the flow. It's draining, I know, but it's a necessary step to move forward and start a new chapter.

For example, my mind is blowing during this transitional phase, and my anxiety is growing each day. Despite this draining time, I'm trying to embrace it because I know that it will lead me to my dream future.

I can imagine my future life, and I stick to this thought when I'm in the dumps. And that's because I know what I want and can imagine it. I could never make it if I didn't plan the change.

You might even surprise yourself because you discover new skills or new sides of your personality. For example, I recently found that I love moving to a new house with the minimum furniture and decorating it slowly with vintage pieces. I can't wait to explore new places and find new inspiration.
