NYFW day 1: my favorite designers

Hi everyone, and welcome to #fashionweekwithmartina!! As you noticed on my Instagram account, I've launched the dedicated hashtag so you can follow all the content easily.

This NYFW day 1 is so fantastic, I've already looked at some street-style pictures on the gram, some runways, and my heart is full of joy and inspiration.

What I'm taking home from the shows and presentations that I watched is that the next spring-summer 2022 will be full of confidence, freedom, and creativity. It's like a Hot Girl summer 2.0, and I'm blooming loving it!

Speaking of silhouettes, I've seen lots of feminine designs styled with bold and edgy accessories. Again, we'll be able to play with textures, volumes, and prints. Of course, pastels and neutrals are a must-have, but we'll style them with black, voluminous clothes, baseball hats, and so on.

Ganni said that clogs are here to stay for the next season, and I'm kind of into this trend even though I don't know if I'd wear them daily.

Cinq à Sept is a full bloom of colors and prints. Don't walk; run to buy the ultimate black boots because you'll want to wear them all over the year with everything! Mini and midi lengths are a must-have for a more inclusive spring-summer fashion. I saw lots of inclusivity speaking of body shapes, cultures, and skin tones, and I'm so glad because everyone can take relatable inspiration from the shows.

Marrisa Wilson presented a unique and revolutionary collection. The '60s are back with her stunning designs. She's the game-changing designer for this NYFW day 1.

Last but not least, I loved the Christian Siriano fashion show so much! I was a big fan of Project Runway, and he was one of my favorites. So, I had to watch his fantastic fashion show! Head over to my IG stories to see some of my favorite moments. He brought neutrals, colors, prints, all the good stuff with his sense of elegance. *chef kiss*

One of my favorites was the plaid two pieces set, the white coat, and the final gowns. I can't pick one, I'm sorry.

All I can say is that we can think out of the box, experiment with prints, textures. Have fun with fashion, which is simply fabulous. What's your favorite?
