My favorite makeup products

Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful week! I'm getting ready for a significant change in my life that will happen on Monday 21st. I literally can't wait! It's been a hectic week, but the excitement keeps me energetic and enthusiastic. But I'm not here to tell you about my crazy week. Instead, this is the weekend before Valentine's Day, and I thought to share my favorite makeup products with you if you're on the market for some makeup inspiration.

I've been testing these products for over two months, and I wanted to wait until now to tell you because I wanted to take my time to try them well. I bought these products for my birthday back in December. So before telling you more about the makeup products, let's chat about my needs and skin type.

no makeup on

I have mixed skin: somewhere my skin is dry and sensitive, and elsewhere is more oily. So, I was looking for a foundation that could remove all the redness, give me an excellent base color, and moisturize my skin. I tried a lot of foundations, but I've always struggled with an oily forehead and dry face.

Speaking of lashes and eyebrows, I have pretty long and dark lashes and thick eyebrows. I never did my eyebrows, but I wanted something to keep them in place and brushed. I love mascaras. I've tried so many over the years. My three requirements for a great mascara are deep black color, elongating brush, and long-lasting.

What I bought

So, with these needs, I got introduced to the Benefit products. I've never bought something from Benefit, but I've always heard great reviews.

The first product I got was the foundation. Then, I went for the Hello Happy Flawless Brightening in shade 02. It's the perfect texture; it is moisturizing without getting my skin oily, and it's buildable. So, if I want light coverage, I can put a tiny amount of product. But if I need a full one, I can build it gradually until I'm happy with the result. I'm pretty satisfied with this foundation, but my skin is so pale. So, the second product that conquered my heart was the famous HOOLA bronzer. It's an insane bronzer that you can build depending on how much product you like. It's also versatile because I can easily apply it as a bronzer or an eyeshadow. So, if I'm traveling - which can happen sooner than you can, hehe - I can bring just the HOOLA bronzer! I love it!

Ok, now that the face is secured, let's talk about eyelashes. As you can see, I'm very picky with mascaras. But, is it so weird if I tell you that the mascara I bought is the best I've ever had in my life? The Roller Lash mascara by Benefit holds the key to my heart. This mascara elongates my lashes so well that I can reach even the baby lashes.

Furthermore, it stays in place all day long. I'm not even joking. You can wear it at 7 am and remain safe until 9 pm without retouching it. When I want a natural effect, I apply just one coat, but if I want extra eyelashes, I go for a double coat, and it's so beautiful. Last but not least, the Roller Lash mascara is so easy to remove. It takes just a gentle oil cleanser to remove it altogether.

I kept the brows for the conclusion because I've never used makeup for my brows. So, I'm pretty inexpert about this topic. The best advice I received is to start with a product that helps me brush and shape my brows. This technique gives me a natural effect and lets me become familiar with brow products. So, I picked the Gimme brow +. It's mascara for brows, and let me tell you that I can't live without it anymore. I love how the brush gives a great shape to my brows and changes my look.

After this, I want to learn how to add some fake hair and get a fuller look. I'm one of those who used to have the thickest eyebrows and shaved them to the thinnest line you can imagine. So, now I have a pretty good shape, but they never grow back the same.
