How was my Black Friday?

Hello everyone! December is here, my favorite month ever! In four days, I'll celebrate my birthday. Then it's time for the anniversary with my boyfriend just before Christmas. How can't I be excited?

Today I wanted to wrap up how last week went for me. As you know, last week we had Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I'm so glad they are over. This year has been so overwhelming that my inbox was full of newsletters, and I felt confused.

How did you feel about all of the offers and the advertisement?

Recently, I have been experiencing a different shopping philosophy. At the beginning of the fall season, I did a massive clear out of my closet because most of my clothes didn't fit me anymore. Thanks to it, I realized that there were a lot of clothes I didn't remember, or I've never worn. So, I took my phone and wrote a list with all of the clothes I needed to create a smart and functional closet. Before this fall, I was buying impulsively without thinking how to style or how many wears I could have. My wardrobe needs lots of basics, those brilliant pieces that let me create multiple outfits.

The list on my phone makes me focus on the necessary purchases I need to make. This hack is helping me with the budget, but also it's a great way to manifest all the things you want to find. I swear to you, it's working so much.

So, when Black Friday and Cyber Monday hit, I didn't want to jump on and buy lots of things. Instead, for the first time, I purchased just from two brands. I planned one purchase. The second was a lucky one. I planned to buy from my favorite beauty brand to stock up with all the products I use for my skincare. It's the best time for me to buy beauty products because I can save a little bit. Last Saturday, I went for a walk and stumbled upon my dream pair of leather loafers. I had been looking for them for a long time, but I couldn't find anything I loved. I walked into the store for a pair of boots, but when I saw this pair of loafers, my heart dropped. They fit me like a glove, and since I bought them, I can't take them off - if you received the November newsletter, you know the drill.

For all the items missing from my list, I've decided to take my time and buy only the things that make my heart drop for love. On another note, I discovered an app that can help me determine if a brand is ethical and sustainable: Good on you. You can check it from the computer and from the phone. It's so good because you search for a brand, and it recommends lots of similar firms to check. It's a great tool to discover new brands, shop ethically, and learn lots of great things about the fashion industry.

For many reasons, I'm buying way less than before the fall, but I'm building a closet I want to wear. Every time I get bored of a piece, I sell it or donate it depending on the conditions.
