How to prepare for fall fashion on a budget

Hi everyone, and happy Monday!

Last week, I shared my seasonal wishlist, an essential part of my seasonal checklist. So, today, it's time for me to share tips and tricks to renovate the closet for fall fashion on a budget. But, of course, we all know that I'm always on the market for some new vibes that don't break the bank account. And I've learned a lot over the years, so I'm glad to share some great advice with you. It can be frustrating if you can't buy a new closet every season. So, you need to use your creativity and do what you can with what you have. Let's see how we can prepare for fall fashion on a budget.

Your parents' closet is your best friend.

Looking through your parents' closets is the most accessible and affordable way to shop. You can also visit your grandmother or relatives and see what they have. I'm still the number one shopper in my mum's closet because I can find real gems. She often has some clothes she doesn't want to wear anymore but are in excellent condition, and I instantly grab them to give them a new life. It's such a fun moment and great for the planet and your bank account!

Thrift

I'm becoming kind of a pro when it comes to thrift shopping. It could be more difficult because you need more patience and research to find what you're looking for. Still, I can confirm that the quality is better, and the prices are often lower than H&M or similar.

Some of my favorite clothes are thrifted, and I wear them to death.

My next goal is to better my thrifting skills by starting to buy vintage bottoms: skirts, denim, and trousers.

Great basics to mix and match

Lastly, you must build a great selection of basics for your clothes. T-shirts, shirts, tailoring trousers, and tank tops are an excellent start for an essential capsule closet. I'm not a fan of the capsule wardrobe, but I embrace this philosophy only for the essential part of my closet. Then, I pull together more unique pieces, different textures, and fits to create movement.

I tried some brands for basics, but my most affordable option with the most incredible quality is Uniqlo. I recently bought the viral pants, which are like a glove on the body.
