Head to Glow: How to Take Care of Your Body at Home.
If you can do anything in 2024, it is body care. Body care and self-care are timeless, but it is so satisfying to take an everything shower or take a moment to do a complete skincare routine.
One of my favorite trends of 2024 is the TLC we will apply to body care because all the skin under our chin deserves the same attention as the face. So, grab your favorite lotion and in-home spa treatments for 2024 and start caring for your body.
I love this trend because I'm a bride-to-be this year, and I'm all in with self-care and because I'll be in my new home soon, with a giant bathroom. So, I'm counting down the days until I can take a bath and relax in my new home.
The core of this trend is that you can recreate a spa in your home with a few products. And I love it because I understand that going to a spa can be expensive, so I learned how to recreate that vibe at home. And it's the perfect opportunity to share what I learned to help you feel the same.
So, let me introduce you to some tips and tricks to recreate a spa in your bathroom, even if it's tiny.
First things first: you need candles and good music. Nothing sets the vibe like a perfect combination of candles and music. I love to light up two or three big scented candles in my tiny bathroom and turn the artificial lights down. Then, I choose a calming playlist. Lately, I've been into classical music for these moments, and I love the original soundtrack of the movie Pride and Prejudice.
Then, I love taking an everything shower. I mean a warm, long shower where I can wash my hair and body intensely, shave myself, warm up, and let the water wash away the tension.
Every time I take this kind of shower, I feel reborn. And I let the flow guide me through a whole ritual of self-care. So, a good moisturizer for my body is the next step to having a lovely scent on my skin. My usual skincare routine for my face may sound like a typical gesture. Still, if you take time to massage your face, it's another level.
I love applying a face mask during these moments because I want to feel extra special. I focus my haircare routine on products instead of styling because I'm trying to avoid heat as much as possible to preserve my hair for the wedding. Also, I could improve at styling my hair, so I greatly enjoy the products.
The final step of this in-home spa treatment is wearing a fresh pajama set. It's the best feeling in the world.
Fun fact: I often plan these self-care moments when changing my bedsheets. So, I have fresh bedsheets and PJs at the same time.
As you can see, you can take care of your body on a budget at your home, even if you have a tiny bathroom. Consider that I have lived in Milan since 2012, and I still have a small bathroom where I can't fit anything. So, if I can do it, everyone can.
I hope this blog post can help you with a boost of self-care. Let me know if you like it!
