Gorpcore: everything you need to know and 10 outfit ideas
Hi everyone! After the MM Shop launch last week and my parents visiting me, I'm ready to go back on track with our regular blog post schedule. So, today's post is about another fashion core, gorpcore.
This core is an acronym for Good Ol' Raisins and Peanuts and was born in 2017 thanks to The Cut magazine. It stands for a utilitarian and genderless style for outdoor activities like camping. The Gorpcore increased its fame during the pandemic because people wanted to reconnect with nature.
Gorpcore essentials
To try some gorpcore outfits, you'll need functional and practical clothes, statement pieces with vivid colors, and an oversized fit. But, then, the secret of creating the perfect gorpcore look is creatively mixing everything into a post-apocalyptic outfit.
Some of the perfect pieces of clothing you want in your closet are cargo pants, puff jackets, trekking shoes, sneakers, fleeces, gilets, belt bags, backpacks, and bucket hats.
Gorpcore aesthetic
When styling a gorpcore outfit, you must imagine going for a walk in nature, trekking, or a mountain getaway but for your daily activities. The North Face is your favorite brand alongside Teva. Layering and logos are the cherry on top.
