First day of spring: moodboard, wishlist, 3 transitional outfit ideas, and more

Happy first day of spring, everyone! I'm so glad to finally enter the warm season because I was so over with cold, the grey skies, and the chunky knits. Today's also a super special day for me because I'm doing a laser treatment to get rid of my glasses. It's so exciting; I've been waiting for this moment since the first day I had to wear glasses. So, I'm entering the spring with a new chapter of my life, where I can buy sunglasses, see perfectly, and I can style my French-inspired bangs. Speaking of sunglasses, get ready for a dedicated edit here on the blog because I intend to start a collection.

How much great news can we have in a single day? This energy fulfills my heart. So, for today, we'll go through a dedicated moodboard for spring, a wishlist of items to shop or get inspiration from, 3 transitional outfit ideas, and 3 tips to enjoy the beautiful new season on a budget. Let's go!

Moodboard

How fun is it to make moodboards? I'd do them all the time! They keep me inspired, entertained, creative, all the good stuff. So, as per usual, I went on Pinterest to browse all of my favorite spring-related pictures. As you can see, pink, green, white, flowers, pastels, bold, feminine is the central theme for this season. I love that this season will be full of contrast, inclusivity, and joy.

Wishlist

This is the time to go wild, dream big, and be fancy. A wishlist makes you feel like a princess, visualize all your wishes, and give you the right inspiration to chase your dreams and make them a reality. Even a shopping wishlist is perfect for finding a new goal, a new style.

3 transitional outfit ideas from IG

I usually go on Pinterest to browse some outfit ideas. But, for the first day of a new season, let's find inspiration for transitional outfit ideas on IG. I picked out three different moods to make us experiment with fashion.

Overalls are a massive trend for this season. Emma Leger is wearing a super cute floral overall with a bra top. Perfect fun outfit idea for a day in nature or a chill day.

I picked out an outfit for the queen, Lydia Elise Millen, for a classic vibe. She dressed up a set from Intimissimi to create a neutral, timeless, chic, and elegant look.

Finally, I wanted to give you an edgy outfit idea, easy to recreate with all the items you already have in your closet. Kayla Seah put together a sensational outfit with an oversized blazer, a simple white top, and a pair of relaxed jeans. Complete the look with a vintage bag, a belt, and heels. Golden jewels are your best friends.

3 tips for enjoying the spring on a budget

I'm so glad for the response I had when I posted How to shopping on a budget and How to invest in your 20s. I'm about to end my 20s, but I swear I live your same struggles. How to manage my personal finances? How can I do all the beautiful things I want without breaking my bank account? How to survive the life paycheck-to-paycheck? These are some of the questions I constantly have in my mind. Now that spring is starting, my instinct is to jump on a plane to a tropical destination for a good tanning session. I wish I could buy a new closet to refresh my style and spend all the time outside with a fancy picnic and happy hours dinners with friends. Unfortunately, the reality is that I have to deal with fixed expenses, and I can't go wild. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy spring. So, here are three tips to make the most out of the warm season on a budget.

It's sunny outside, warm, and you're free from duties. So grab a blanket and your favorite book, and go to the park. Take yourself out for a date. You can add some snacks, a water bottle, and a camera to snap some photos in nature. The total amount of money spent: zero.

It's a bit chilly day, you just want to be home, invite your boyfriend to make something together. A cake, some cookies, a puzzle, watch a movie, pick up your favorite. Then, complete the vibe with a tea for the afternoon and a glass of wine for the evening. Remember: a great playlist makes the difference.

Last but not least, you feel super active and inspired, and you want to do something for yourself. Here you have endless options. Buy some magazines, cut out all the images and words that inspire you, and glue them on a sheet of paper. Free your creativity, and you'll have an authentic mood board. As an alternative, you can journal or learn something new. For example, after getting well from the laser treatment, I plan to buy a sewing course to learn how to make clothes. It's a dream I have had since I was a kid. My boyfriend and I bought our sewing machine because we want to learn it together. How cool is that?

This could be expensive, but you can learn something new via YouTube, TikTok, or from your friends.
