Fall Activities to do for couples

Hi everyone! I got the inspiration for today's post when I could hang out a little bit with my boyfriend, and I was wondering what kind of activities we could do to have fun during the fall. I still have to pay attention because I'm not fully recovered, so I picked some great ideas that don't stress my body but are still super fun and romantic.

Puzzle night

I used to play a lot with puzzles when I was a child, but during this last lockdown, I bought so many of them that I enjoyed so much. It's so fun to do a puzzle as a couple. Usually, we have a cup of tea or a glass of wine while we're doing it and chat a lot. It's also a great idea to spend some quality time together without blue screens.

Bake some treats

I love baking so much, mainly because I can enjoy what I cook with my friends and family. Fall is the perfect season to bake some treats to pair with a cup of tea or hot chocolate. You can try so many different recipes a do them as a couple to spend a fun afternoon together. Lately, I baked an apple pie and some brownies, but I'm planning to try my first pumpkin pie.

If you have a great recipe, please share it in the comments below!

Walk in the nature

I know, it's crisp outside, and your blanket is calling your name out loud. But let me tell you that I've been home for so long that I can't wait to put some warm clothes on and take a walk into the park nearby. It's a great moment to spend some time outside as a couple to reset your mind and be together. I love going to the park with my boyfriend because we talk so much more than walking in the city. I can tell the difference because we are more relaxed and manage to be present so much more.

Play tourist in your own town

Have I told you that I've been stuck at home for what feels like a lifetime? So I used this time to collect some cool spots in Milan to try and enjoy now that I can go out. I have lived here since 2012, but there are so many places that I've never been to that I'm planning to spend a whole day playing tourist with my boyfriend in Milan.

Visit a winery

The perfect idea for a fall weekend is to visit a winery near your city. So many of them offer a bundle to visit the vineyard and taste the local products. You can check the wineries near you and book a fun day there with your babe.

Picnic

Picnics are a typical spring-summer activity, but the weather is still pretty good to snuggle in warm clothes and enjoy a tasty meal at the park. You can plan it as a mid-day snack or a happy hour so that you don't get too cold. Just remember to bring extra blankets!

Road trip to see the foliage

Another idea for a great weekend as a couple is taking a road trip to see the foliage. One of the best things about the fall season is watching the color change of the leaves. What better idea than taking your car or a train ticket to go and see it in real life? I know that you can enjoy it in the parks, but I think it's better to get outside the city and get lost in the woodland.

Rent a cabin in the middle of nature

Renting a cabin in the middle of nowhere has been on my bucket list forever, and I want to tick it off as soon as possible. The fall season is the perfect time to rent a romantic cabin in the mountains and spend a lovely weekend with the fireplace, a glass of good wine, and eating great food. Since the weather is still pretty good, you can also hang out in nature and go hiking. I'm dreaming with open eyes right now, but consider this post as a manifestation of a great and fun fall season.

Pumpkin-themed dinner

Last but not least, if you enjoy cooking, you can plan a pumpkin-themed dinner. You can cook it as a couple and share it with your friends, maybe with a board game night. Pumpkin is a versatile ingredient that you can use for appetizers, the main courses, and desserts. You can also cook it for vegan or vegetarian recipes or pair it with animal proteins. The sky is the limit.
