Capsule wardrobe for 2 weeks in Sardinia

Hi everyone! Today is my first day of vacation in my homeland, Sardinia. If you're new here, I live in Milan, but I was born in Sardinia, a stunning island in Italy. I usually go for a vacation at my beach house because it's the perfect place to unwind and recharge before fall. So, in today's post, we're taking a look at what I packed in my suitcase for two weeks in Sardinia. I went for some capsule wardrobe, just some key pieces that I can mix and match together, some maxi dresses because how can I do without maxi dresses in summer?

I used to pack my entire closet and ended up wearing the same two or three things. But now, I decided to pack a reasonable amount of clothes. So I still have options, but limited!

Shoes and bags

I decided to pack one pair of flats, one pair of white sneakers, and one pair of kitten heel sandals for shoes. They are versatile, go with every piece of clothing I packed, and they are super easy to pack! The flats and sandals are perfect for a dinner, a cocktail, but also a romantic walk. Sneakers are strategic for every casual outfit.

When I had to pick the bags, I had some issues. So I picked out a tan basket bag, not too big to wear during the day and the night, and a black belt bag, to add an edgy touch to some of my outfits. Also, the belt bag is so practical that I can fit all of my essentials, and I can wear it as a belt bag or crossbody.

Clothing

I choose to stay comfy, cute, and light when I picked out the clothes. My maxi dresses are a must-have not only because they are so cute, but they are so easy to style and lightweight. You can throw on one of them, and you're good to go. When I'm on vacation, I don't want to overthink an outfit; I want to be cute and comfortable.

A cropped flare trouser is the next clothing piece I packed. I can style it with different tops; it's so comfortable and flattering on my body, especially now that I gained weight. It's a navy blue color to go with white, blue, and other summer colors. Then I've decided to bring with me three silk scarves. I saw so many cute outfits with a silk scarf styled as a top that I've decided to jump on the trend and have some fun with them.

To play around a little bit more, I brought a lavender blazer and a pale pink overall. I love these pieces so much, and I couldn't leave them in Milan.

For the most versatile pieces, I packed a linen shirt, a sheer white top, and, of course, two bathing suits. But, of course, all the essentials for the beach - towel, beach bag, hat - are at my beach house, so I don't have to pack them.

I'm so glad to try this new way to pack; I'll keep you posted on how it went.

What's your favorite way to pack? I'm so curious to know what are your travel essentials for a beach vacation!
