9 outfit ideas with a classic black coat

Hi everyone! Did you tell how much temperatures dropped? I was so happy to take my coats out of my closet and snuggle into them. That's why I had the idea to share 9 outfit ideas with a classic black jacket with you. The black coat, either long or short, is one of those classic pieces that everyone has in the closet. It's one of those essentials you can style with so many different outfits and always look put together. It can be dressed down with a sweatsuit or up with a fantastic pair of tailored trousers.

Before we head into the 9 outfit ideas, I thought to collect some of the criteria I follow when buying a good coat.

First of all, I love when the coat comes with a lining. I think it fits much better, and the fabric doesn't deform when I sit in the car or elsewhere. Also, the lining helps with the structure, and the coat looks more flattering on the body.

Let's move on to the external fabric. I don't mind if the lining is made with synthetic materials. Still, the outer fabric has to be wool blended or another warm natural material. This is a crucial step because I can't stay warm otherwise.

Last but not least, comfort. I love either the maxi oversized and the more fitted coats. They have an opposite vibe, but they do an excellent job with the overall outfit. The third thing I look for with a coat is comfort. I have to move, breathe, and put my bag over my shoulder quickly. I don't like a rigid jacket. When I wear one of them, I drive in my car, walk, carry my bags, and do lots of things. I want to feel confident, not like a robot.
